Founded in 1999 as Montaki Management Consulting, JNTM Solar Specialists has grown into a leading renewable energy company, serving both residential and commercial clients. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to providing high-quality solar installation services that meet the unique needs of each client. With projects spanning across South Africa, we have successfully transformed hundreds of homes and businesses into sustainable, energy-efficient spaces.
Our Mission
At JNTM Solar Specialists, our mission is simple: to deliver superior photovoltaic and energy storage systems that meet off-grid and backup energy needs across Southern Africa. We take pride in designing and installing hassle-free, self-sustaining solar systems for homes, commercial properties, and utility-scale projects. With a focus on exceptional customer support, we work closely with our hand-picked trusted suppliers to ensure each system we build operates efficiently and reliably. Our Growth Journey
Over the past eight years, JNTM has evolved from a one-man operation into a dynamic company with four fully operational installation teams and dedicated support staff. With a fleet of service vehicles and over 400 residential low-voltage installations completed, we have also expanded into high-voltage solutions, with projects as large as a 1.3 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). We upgraded our facilities at JNTM to include forklifts, new offices and workshop spaces and concrete slabs for multiple BESS.

As the renewable energy landscape changes, so does our strategic focus. While small residential installations continue to sustain our business, JNTM is shifting towards medium-sized to high-voltage projects for residential complexes, office blocks, malls, lodges, agricultural projects, and hotels. By the end of 2025, we plan to expand our team to ten installation crews, with specialized teams for emergency correction work and BESS manufacturing. Our goal is to continue leading the way in the solar industry, offering reliable and scalable energy solutions for clients big and small.
Our Certifications
The company is owner managed by Civil Engineers, but JNTM Solar Specialists is fully registered with the Department of Labour as an electrical contractor. We boast an in-house team of solar designers and electricians, backed by the expertise of our electrical engineer, who signs off on all designs for ESKOM and NERSA. We are also ECB-listed contractors and certified installers for Sunsynk, Victron Inverters, and REVOV Batteries, our commitment to industry standards is unmatched.
